The Thoroughbred can handle the bedding residuals of 40 horses. The horse generates 50 lbs of bedding per day or 3 cubic feet. If a generator were to dispose of this material he would call in a 40 yard container and be charged $1,308 per month.. If you were to purchase the Stallion for $40,000 and put down 20% and got a loan for 6 years at 7.5% interest the payments would be $968.25. A savings of $431.75 per month or $31,086.00 over the 6 year period. This does not include offsets to your taxes caused by depreciating your asset or the value of the compost produced. You can bury your money in the ground or have a machine that will last forever while you save money.
